On Cockatoo Lane Bed & Breakfast Barossa Valley

The Barn

Thoughtfully redesigned, simple luxury at its heart

The Barn is a boutique stay, designed to have you disconnect from the day to day and encourage you to slow down and reconnect with what is important to you in life. Nestled into the tall trees, The Barn itself has been lovingly built from the ground up. Every detail has been carefully thought through, from the natural floor coverings to the soaring ceilings and all the inclusions, our hope is that you find joy in all the details. Designed with couples in mind, we also encourage friends and those with babies not yet walking (lets talk about other children, we just need to give you a better picture). Extended family and friends are invited to visit (we can provide additional catering), if you need further accommodation, we can recommend some within walking distance.

What a stay in The Barn might look like

Check in time is flexible with prior warning. Arrive at The Barn and pull into the private driveway. Step out of the car and breath deep, there are acres of privacy to be enjoyed.

Let yourself into The Barn and settle in. Perhaps start the trip with a pot of tea or espresso coffee made with locally roasted beans and premium SA milk, there’s treats to have with either. Relax on the deck or in the living area overlooking the paddock and local golf course. Take a walk through The Garden and see what’s growing. Come dinner time you can finish off a chef produced meal pack, with vegetables grown on site. Adding the final touches to your meal can be a great bonding experience and ensures you enjoy the best quality, fresh meal, just the way you like it. Don’t want any work to do? That’s fine, ready prepared meals are also available.

Pair your meal with a beautiful bottle of wine of your choice from the drinks list, we are licensed and have a list stocked by the best of the small local winemakers and producers.

After dinner you might take a bath in our soaker tub, with rejuvenating Epsom salts and premium Leif amenities. Then sink into bed, luxury natural fibres welcome you, they are all washed completely after each stay, enjoy a good book, listen to some music or stream something on the TV to relax.

Wake up and throw open the curtains. You can even open double doors to the deck to take in the fresh air and listen to the abundant bird life. Kangaroos frequent this property daily and might be mere metres from the deck.

Enjoy a premium breakfast from the supplied breakfast box, filled with local goodies and even some made on site. Ready yourself for a day in the Barossa, there’s so much to see and do. The Barn will welcome you back in the afternoon to do it all again.
