Cocoon - New Baby Retreat
A restorative weekday retreat for new families, designed to nurture rest, connection and time together.
Becoming a parent is one of life’s most extraordinary transitions.
It is a season filled with love and wonder, but also interrupted sleep, endless washing, meal preparation and the constant demands of caring for a newborn.
At On Cockatoo Lane, we understand that while everyone’s attention naturally turns to the newest arrival, the whole family needs caring for too.
Cocoon was created to celebrate this incredible change while taking away some of the day-to-day grind. It’s a chance to give your new family space to rest, reconnect and simply be together.

What's Included
A minimum two-night stay in The Barn
Stay Monday to Thursday, with the option to extend your retreat for as many nights as you like.
Breakfast, ready when you are
A generous breakfast hamper is provided on arrival, with everything you need for relaxed mornings at your own pace.
Nourishing snacks & homemade treats
Thoughtfully prepared on site for those little moments between feeds, naps and quiet pauses.
Lunch, your way
We leave lunch intentionally flexible. Head out and explore some of the Barossa’s beautiful wineries, bakeries and cafés with our family-friendly itinerary suggestions, or keep the day slow at The Barn with seasonal offerings from the freezer for a simple, nourishing lunch.
Two chef-prepared dinners
Two dinners are prepared fresh on site and ready to heat and enjoy whenever it suits your family’s rhythm.
Seasonal menus might include chicken and vegetable pie with garden salad and apple & rhubarb crumble, or slow-cooked beef ragu with noodles followed by sticky date pudding.
No shopping. No meal planning. No cooking. No reservation to meet. Just dinner when you’re ready for it.
A little space for baby
A dedicated baby space with a play mat and age-appropriate toys provides somewhere safe to set your little one down while you rest nearby.
A portable cot, baby bath and thoughtfully selected baby amenities are also provided.
For older babies, a highchair and age-appropriate purées are available on request.
All baby equipment provided is selected to meet current Australian safety standards.
One final slow morning
Late checkout on your departure day gives you time for one last unhurried morning together.
And before you leave, we’ll send you home with a little something for the whole family, including a ready-to-heat family meal for your first night back, one less thing to think about.

Wedding Bliss
The perfect package for your big day
The celebration package for before and after the wedding
This Package Includes:

Minimum 2 nights accommodation in The Barn

First night can be Bride/Groom (or both) then a parent, maid of honour or best man with the sofa bed made up.

Bridal party brunch grazing table for minimum $150 if 5 people or less, over 5 people $30pp. Brunch includes: mini quiches, seasonal fresh fruit, yoghurt cups, mini bagels, pastries and a choice of glass of Deviation Road bubbles, espresso coffee, fresh juice, or loose leaf tea. Chef Olivia will style the food and table setting, make drinks and take away the dishes

Get ready and have your pre wedding photographer session in The Barn, make up artist, hair stylists welcome on site.

Barn will be reset in the afternoon, ready to welcome back the happy couple to enjoy wedding night together in The Barn.

Upon return a bottle of Deviation Road bubbles and a grazing platter will be waiting to be shared on wedding night.
